Waka ama otherwise known as Outrigger Conoeing is one of the fastest growing sports in New Zealand and the Pacific. We invite you to come and have a go.

The waka ama is a long canoe with an outrigger that balances the boat on the water. There are six paddles in each canoe paddling on opposite sides. For those who have not paddled before we have a group of experienced paddlers who will introduce you to the sport of waka ama and take you out for a gentle paddle on the harbour. For those of you who are experienced paddlers we will organise some fun racing events.
