Big Gay Pool Party

Grab your togs (swimming gear) and jandals (flip-flops) for an evening of queer swimming and Kiwi BBQ at Thorndon Pool.

Bring your own drinks, and enjoy our free Kiwi sausage sizzle by the pool with locals and visitors alike.

Thorndon Pool features a 30.5 metre heated outdoor summer pool. The pool was built in the 1920s (and the water was originally heated by heat from a brewery that used to be across the road). It has been popular with city office workers and locals since.

The Pool Party is a favourite event of Wellington?s annual Proud celebrations, produced by the team at Out Wellington.
