Everyone registered by Wellington Anniversary Day goes in the draw for three great prizes ? a brand new mountain bike worth over NZ$1000, a package of party tickets, and holiday accommodation.
Human Rights Day marked with a cheque
To mark International Human Rights Day on 10 December, Ambassador Arie van der Wiel of the Kingdom of the Netherlands handed over a cheque for $66,000 to Virginia Hopkins-Burns, Co-Chair of the 2nd AsiaPacific Outgames.
The money is sponsorship of the Outgames Human Rights Conference. A large part of it will be used as scholarships for Pacific Island participants.
