Hi and Kia ora!

Welcome to the April newsletter of the 2nd AsiaPacific Outgames.

Sports

Our website now has information on badminton, dancesport, diving, field hockey, golf, lawn bowls, mountain biking, running, softball, squash, swimming, ten pin bowling, and tennis. The sports pages include venue maps and details about match formats, grades, etc. If you haven't visited for a while, it is worth checking out what new details are there.

Parties

The final weekend of the Outgames features two incredible parties. Friday March 18 sees our Leather and Uniform Party, and, on Saturday March 19, the biggest party of the Outgames roars into life at a hot harbourside location. We're already talking with some top international DJs and guest performers.

Register the weekend of June 12

You'll be able to register for the Outgames sports events and conference on our website from June 12, and we're planning special events in Melbourne, Brisbane, Auckland and Wellington to celebrate. We'd love you to come along if you can. We'll post details on our website and our Facebook page. There will naturally be some tempting offers for early registrants...

Sponsorship and Media

In the next month we'll start introducing some of our key sponsors, supporters and Official Media Partners. We know some sponsors will be offering very special deals around the Outgames at sharp prices. Our Official Media Partners will keep you up with the play.

Conference

We're delighted to have secured the capital's best central city conference venue for the Outgames Human Rights Conference. This is within walking distance of most hotels, very handy to shops and cafes, and just a stone's throw from the waterfront. The Conference runs from Wednesday 16th to Friday 18th March - straight after the sports events.

A Single Man

If you'll be in Wellington on April 29, join us at the Penthouse Cinema in Brooklyn for a screening of the Colin Firth movie A Single Man, directed by Tom Ford. It has had great reviews and is already winning awards. Tickets for this Outgames fundraiser are $20, and you'll need to get them in advance of the screening. Find out how to order your tickets sports pages.

Best wishes!
David and Virginia
