Tennis is one of the confirmed sports that will be held at the 2nd AsiaPacific Outgames.
Venue |
Tennis will be held at the Renouf Tennis Centre at the edge of Central Park. It is the premier tennis venue in Wellington and home for regular international events, including Davis Cup and Federation Cup matches.
The centre is an easy 15-minute walk from the central city. There is also a regular bus service which stops outside the main entrance, and off-street car parking. |

Grades |
A Grade- Advanced players. Play regularly for a club and in club competitions. B Grade- High Intermediate players. Play for a club and may/may not play regular competitive tennis. C Grade- Low Intermediate players. Play for the enjoyment and this may be your first compeititve event. |
Match format |
The format will either be a draw format or round robin format (dependent on the number of participants). All participants can expect to play a minimum of three games per event. All pariticpants can enter up to one singles and one doubles event. In the doubles event each team must consist of two players with the same grade, the exceptions are: |
Facilities |
The centre has six indoor courts and twelve outdoor Rebound Ace-Synpave courts under floodlights. There is an onsite tennis shop and a café/bar with seating for 60 people. |
