Registration |
You can register for Dancesport now, even if you do not know yet the specific dance events you will be competing in or whom your dance partner(s) will be. After registering, you need to tell us those details no later than 28 February 2011 by completing a competitor's registration form. We'll ensure we contact you if you haven't sent us this information.

Plans for sanctioning event |
There is no official governing body for same sex dancesport in New Zealand. The dance competition will be held along similar lines to those currently held in Australia and the local mainstream (heterosexual) dance competitions held in Wellington. All participants have to comply with the competition rules. Download the dancesport competition rules for more information. |
Partnerships to assist with competition |
The event will be run in partnership with DANSS Inc who will have run three local dance competitions prior to the 2nd AsiaPacific OutGames. The event will be supported by local mainstream dance studios, including the provision of registered dance adjudicators and other people experienced in running dancesport competitions. |
